There is nothing I love more than spending time with my family whether that be out and about exploring or cuddled up in the warmth of our home. Children are growing up so fast and the opportunity to get out and about and explore with them gets slimmer and slimmer the older they become.
To celebrate Oreo’s The Great Oreo Cookie Quest, a promotion on packs of Oreos now where anyone can win awesome prizes including a once in a lifetime trip to California and the googleplex we have teamed up to create a family fun-filled “Cookie quest”.
We decided to take a trip to our local Arboretum in Westonbirt which has got to be the best place to host a cookie quest right? Armed with our trusty Oreo’s we jumped in the car and headed a short 10 minutes down the road to the Arboretum.
We love to take afternoon strolls through the arboretum. Each path is bordered with rows upon rows of gorgeous trees that overlook you as you walk beneath them. As this is Oreo challenge is all about spending time with your family We decided that Westonbirt Arboretum would be the perfect place to spend Mother’s Day as a family.
To make the walk that little more fun we decided to stop at certain trees and take some silly photos with Oreo’s hidden in each one, can you spot them all?
After a good few hours walking around it was fair to say that we were all getting a little tired and of course slightly peckish. Not a single soul refused the Oreo’s, the perfect occasional treat. We each grabbed two Oreo’s then headed back down the trail to the car park.
I hadn’t picked the best choice of footwear, I had my wedge boots on (big no-no) which didn’t make the walk back any easier – my feet were killing me! However it made for great entertainment for everyone else!
Oreo’s don’t have to be enjoyed only when you’re out. They also make for the perfect occasional treat when you’re at home too. Ashley loves to have a couple of Oreo’s to dip into his tea after a long day at school. The perfect companion to get those brain cells engaged in homework!
