Where will 2019 take us?

It’s officially 2019. What a year 2018 was. As a family we witnessed so many magical moments. We went on our first family camping holiday, well I say camping, it was more glamping. There was no way that I could have ever persuaded Ryan to actually go back to basics and do proper camping.

I turned 21 in April and celebrated by having a lovely afternoon tea with my favourite guy.

June saw Shaniah not only turn four, but also play the important role of flower-girl at a very special family wedding.

September was the month that Shaniah started school. Lord knows how nervous I was but she went in like she had been there her whole life and to this day she continues to flourish.

December was a month of festive cheer. It was the first year that Shaniah actually understood what Christmas is about. Learning about Jesus at school made her super fascinated by the whole nativity scene. She went on to spend Christmas day dressed as an elf and handed out gifts to the whole family, something that she loved way more than opening her own.

2019

It’s the second day of a brand new year and when asked what my new years resolution is I could only think of one thing. To travel more. A resolution spurred on by a lovely hamper gifted to me by the lovely people at Jet 2.

Hamper from jet 2 with chocolates and crackers.

I received the hamper around Christmas tome and aptly the theme was Christmas markets. Each gift resembled something that you’d find whilst walking through Christmas markets and just unboxing it all made me feel super christmasy.

Shaniah had so much fun choosing bits from the hamper that just had to be hers. Mainly chocolate, however, she did take a shine to the Nutcracker tree decorations that she promptly hung on our tree.

My plane mad brother couldn’t wait to claim the phone charging bank complete with the Jet 2 logo on it.

Myself and Ryan? Well we tucked in to some super tasty Mince pies, drank hot chocolate out of the beautiful gifted mugs whilst looking through the Jet2 city holidays brochure. That right there, was the moment I knew that 2019 is the year that we will take up every opportunity to travel that comes our way.

Looking at all the beautiful destinations near and far within the Jet2 brochure was like turning on a light switch within my head. Jet2 generously gifted us a voucher for money off a holiday with them so what more persuading do I need?

Besides all this travel talk. One other thing that I cannot wait for this year is Shaniah’s birthday. We didn’t hold a party for her last year as we knew that once she got to School she would have loads of friends to celebrate with. She has chosen a Mickey and Minnie themed party and I am currently in the middle of planning some content for some party planning themed posts.

This year is going to be super exciting and I cannot thank Jet2 enough for their generosity.

Here’s to 2019!
