My Spring Skin care Routine

2nd April 2018

I love, love, love a good skin care routine. I won’t lie to you though, I have been slacking lately there are just so many products out there and I have absolutely no idea which ones will benefit me the most. I have recently been hit by the most horrendous break out and that was when I decided that enough is enough. I need to get my shit back on track and start loving my skin again.

After researching many, many brands I came to the conclusion that Palmer’s ® would be the perfect stuff for my skin.  In all honesty, I didn’t actually know that they had a skin care range! I mean I knew that they did stuff for scars and stretch marks because I used the oil when I was pregnant (and after) with Shaniah.

I have all but two of their Cocoa Butter Formula skin care range and I love it, I will certainly be adding the final two to the collection. My skin actually looks and feels so much better using these products and I can honestly say that I don’t dread those no make-up days anymore!

Skincare routine

They look pretty cute right? I love the packaging so much! Cocoa Butter is perfect for the colder months as it acts to prevent skin dryness and peeling amongst many, many other benefits. These products are so quick and easy to use and the chocolatey smell actually has me looking forward to doing my routine! And this is how it goes…

First thing in the morning I use Creamy Cleanser and Make up remover.

This product is a light foaming creamy formula which gently removes impurities, oil and makeup. The added Natural Cocoa Butter helps my skin to maintain its own moisture balance and better still it’s safe for use for removal of eye makeup!

I simply apply it to wet skin with a gentle circular motion creating a light lather and then rinse completely!

Next up, I apply the Moisturizing day cream.

This day cream is super lightweight and gently hydrates, balances moisture and smooths skin texture with added SPF to protect from the sun’s harmful rays (perfect for this time of year). The nourishing formula is suitable for all skin types and won’t clog pores! It leaves my skin healthy, glowing and supple every single day. The product absorbs quickly leaving my skin smooth and ready for application of makeup.

In the Evening this is what I like to do!

Firstly, I like to apply the Facial Cleansing oil.

This Facial cleansing oil instantly dissolves impurities and all traces of make-up whilst maintaining skin’s natural moisture balance.  Infused with 8 pure oils and botanicals. When this product gets into contact with my dampened face it emulsifies meaning that it rinses completely leaving my skin soft and cleansed.  It leaves my skin feeling lightly hydrated unlike other harsh cleansing methods. Being oil based it removes my makeup and eye makeup with ease.

The 8 Pure oils that are included in this product are:

Apricot oil, Sesame oil, Jojoba oil, Argan oil, Sweet Almond oil, Rice Bran oil, Soybean oil and Grape Seed oil. Pretty impressive aye?

Secondly, I like to apply the purifying enzyme mask around 2 times a week.

This cooling clay mask uses natural kaolin clay which lifts impurities in minutes to deeply purify and cleanse skin. Skin smoothing Papaya Enzyme gently exfoliates resulting in velvety soft skin.

This is one of the perfect products to use after a busy day and it leaves my skin feeling top-notch.

Finally, I finish the day by applying Perfecting facial oil.

With a superior blend of Argon oil, Macadamia nut oil, Maracuja oil, Apricot oil, Sunflower Seed oil, Coconut oil, Sweet Almond oil, Grapeseed oil, Sesame oil & Vitamin E this product helps to keep my skin healthy, firm and glowing, the ultimate beauty oil!

With the added benefits of Retinol (Vitamin A), it reduces the appearance of wrinkles and helps banish pigmentation while smoothing skin to help it look younger.

There we have it, my favourite skin care routine of the season! What do you use?
