Meal Plan: Week 13.

I am finally getting back into the swing of blogging, I won’t lie, I really fell out of love with it after Christmas. I just had no inspiration, and the last thing I wanted to do was churn out any old garbage just for the sake of keeping up with my schedule. Anyway, I have started to fall back in love with it and I have so many post ideas that I cannot wait to type up.

Back to the post in hand Tamara… Last week was actually a super successful week in terms of Shaniah eating what I cooked. It’s weeks like that that make cooking superb. Anyway, like always here is the lowdown of the past week.

Monday was saw the return of Spaghetti Bolognese. Shaniah refused it, which I called, I knew that was going to happen so I had an ASDA little kids ready-made meal in the fridge waiting for her. They are under £2 and they are perfect for the days that Shaniah doesn’t appreciate my dish.

Tuesday was Beef Stroganoff and oh my word it was incredible! I have always been super nervous about recreating dishes like that, especially ones that taste incredible when dining out. Last week I bit the bullet and went for it and even Shaniah adored it. Success.

Wednesday we were meant to have Lasagne but Ryan decided that we should dine out so that is what we did. It was a much needed break.

Thursday was Pasta Bake. We actually had a chicken and bacon one that was ready made by ASDA. Thankfully, it was another meal that Shaniah enjoyed. What a win.

Friday was meant to be a KFC Fake away which thanks to my KFC loving nan ended up being the real deal. Obviously being super unhealthy, Shaniah took no time to finish it.

Saturday we took nan to ASDA (I realise that I am mentioning ASDA a lot, this isn’t sponsored by them I promise!) She then requested Argos and McDonalds so we only had a light meal for dinner.

Sunday was surprisingly one hot day so we decided to have a jacket potato, Shaniah doesn’t enjoy potatoes unless they come in the form of chips so she had McCain taco fries and flipper dippers.

This week we’ve gone for.

Monday: Chilli Con Carne with jacket potato and salad. Shaniah loves Chilli Con Carne, it’s no surprise really as it’s a Mexican dish.

Tuesday: Kebab meat with homemade sweet potato chips and Salad. This is far from healthy but I can guarentee that Shaniah will eat it all.

Wednesday: Homemade Chicken Tikka Masala with rice. I love making curries from scratch, I feel that they taste so much better. Shaniah also loves curry so we are on to a winner.

Thursday: Homemade fish and chips. Shaniah has requested this dish so hopefully, she will eat it…

Friday: Chicken burger and chips. It’s Friday, we’ve got to live a little. I will serve it with Salad. It’s all about balance right?

Saturday: Sausages with potato dauphinoise and vegetable medley. Finally some sort of healthy meal. Saturdays are usually super busy so we tend to have a quick and easy meal.

Sunday: Roast Pork with best crackling. It’s mothering sunday so a roast is definitely needed.
