“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.” – Kahlil Gibran.
FAMILY.
Last weekend we spent our weekend down in Woolacombe at one of Woolacombe Bays holiday parks with my dad and brother.
Saturday we took a walk down to the beach. We didn’t think it would be as far as it was but the walk through the valley actually made a nice change.
Once the beach was in sight so was the stairs! My word we had about 80 steps to climb down which wasn’t so bad… the climb back up however, was a totally different story!
The beach didn’t have your cliche shops or amusements scattered around. Instead it was just sea, sand and a load of hidden treasures.
Ashley and Ryan spent the majority of the time building a dam. Usually Ashley is pleading to go into the arcade so it was a welcome change to watch him get hands on with nature.
Whilst the boys were amused Shaniah and I took advantage of our surroundings and headed to some nearby rocks to have a little photo session.
Probably 100 photos later the boys regrouped with us and we decided to have a family photo session.
The boys and Shaniah went first and it was so nice to see them all enjoying themselves the photos really showed that too!
Even posing with funny faces!
I couldn’t miss the opportunity to get a little family photo of our own too!
And a crazy one of course!
This holiday has been perfect for the very much needed family time. No electronic devices were used by the youngsters in fact I don’t think anyone went on their phones except me occasionally – oops!
Nothing beats a bit of time with the family.
Keep your eyes peeled in the coming days for our holiday diaries.

Love the silly faces photos. Love it at Woolacombe, it’s a great beach area #livingarrows
It looks like you had such a nice day. We only really go to the beach in the summer but this shows how much you can enjoy the simple fun of the beach all year round x
