“You are the bows from which your child as living arrows are sent forth” – Kahlil Gibran
Welcome to another week of our link up with Living Arrow’s Hosted by Donna from What the Redhead said.
This week school became out for summer and along with it I noticed both my little one and my bother were growing up way too fast!
On Friday at 12;35 school was officially out for Summer. A string of tired and over worked children rushed out of the school gates at pick up and headed off on their six-week break. My brother had officially finished his first year of secondary school!
It was that afternoon whilst Shaniah and Ashley were looking at the Combine Harvester is the field next door and he asked me to take a new profile picture for him i realised just grown up my little brother had become, he was no longer the little dependant guy that we were all used to, he has now become totally independent and set in his ways, a true young man.
Likewise with Shaniah at the weekend when we were getting her dressed to go shopping she decided that what I had picked out was far from good enough and she was in fact going to get an outfit herself. That outfit being her Unicorn onesie! She too had become independent all of a sudden, she will help tidy up, she tries to help when preparing the vegetables and she is trying her hardest to dress herself. It is a mixed emotions kind of thing to see, my baby no longer needs my help with things!
