Shaniah was super lucky to be invited to attend the last leg of the LEGO Friends House of Heart tour at our Local Intu shopping centre at Milton Keynes last weekend.
This spring, LEGO friends invited children and their families to join them as they embarked on their Heart of House tour where they were seen in 8 Intu shopping centres across the UK in a quest to ‘put more heart into the world’.
I read up what the whole House of Heart tour was about and couldn’t wait. Shaniah absolutely loves all things LEGO especially Olivia from the Friends range because she has glasses, in fact she was one of the reasons Shaniah accepted the fact that she had to wear glasses! I was keen to take Shaniah to the tour because we could all learn from what the Lego Friends do for their world.
What is LEGO Friends?
The LEGO Friends are a group of 5 girls, Stephanie, Mia, Andrea, Emma and Olivia, who live in Heartlake City. They’re cool and friendly girls with heart, who help every new girl that they meet on their mission to make the world and Heartlake City a better place to be. They always find a way to help those in need, and that is something that a lot of us could learn.
What is the LEGO Friends Heart Squad?
Just like many friendship groups the LEGO Friends Heart Squad is a group of girls who when working together, amazing things happen. Just like when the LEGO Friends get together to help Heartlake CIty.
The heart squad teamed up to help inspire girls in the UK to build a better world together, with heart and brick missions inspired by LEGO Friends. The heart squad is made up of YouTube sensations: Ruby Rube, Tiana, Rosie McClelland, Mia’s Life and Sassy Belle, as a group they show girls that they have the power to build a better world together.
When we arrived Shaniah let out the biggest squeal that I have ever heard. Sure she was a fan of the LEGO Friends range before but it was like her dreams had all come true when she saw the life-sized LEGO models of all the friends including Olivia!
Shaniah was then invited over to a station where she was asked if she would like to build a LEGO heart with one of the staff. She was a little nervous at first but once she saw all the LEGO she soon dived in and a beautiful heart was created before we knew it!
The staff were super friendly and it really made the Heart squad ethics shine through.
Once she had finished building her heart she was then asked to showcase it on the shelf where loads of hearts were bursting with love!
Shaniah soon found herself in her element taking photos with one of the staff whilst messing around with props. It was so lovely to see her having fun but also learning about how to be great just like the LEGO Friends.
She then went over to the LEGO flower station where she designed her own LEGO flower. There were instructions on how to make the flowers but Shaniah decided to push them aside and throw creativity and unique vibes at it – a bit like the LEGO friends right?
Before we knew it the event had come to a close, Shaniah left full of inspiration and knowledge on how she can help make the world a better place carrying her generous goody bag.
Before we could head home however she decided that the day wouldn’t be complete without picking up a new LEGO kit and a LEGO friends watch!
This event was with Very.co.uk which stocks a good size range of LEGO products.
