Well where do I start? I’ve been thinking about what hobby I could have for ages now. I’ve been trying out loads of different things like crafts but with a toddler in tow it didn’t really work out, I tested out cake making and chocolate making but my cake making skills left a lot to be desired, they tasted great but they had that sorry looking state about them. Next I took up reviewing which I actually enjoyed a lot and i’m keen to keep up with and incorporate into this blog in some way. I sat down with my other half and we thought about all the things i haven’t tried yet and blogging was one. I paused for a moment and thought yes why not! I love rambling on about things and the thought of having everything we’ve done with my little girl growing up on file really excites me. sure we take photos but in a few years time all you’ve got to remember the moment is the actual photograph. Writing a blog not only means what we’ve done is written in detail but it means I can share it with you guys and if my little girl wants to read it when shes older then the oppertunity is there.
So this is me!
I’m Tamara 19, although I feel much, much older (some may say I look it too, things are starting to go south already!). I suffer from epilepsy which isn’t under control at the moment which means finding a place of my own isn’t on the cards, so yep I still live with my mother. Last year I was diagnosed with SVT (superventricular tachycardia) and this year it looks likely that I’ll be having an ablation at some point.
In 2013, at the age of 15 I got into an abusive “relationship”, he took advantage of my young and unexperienced ways and my childhood was no longer rosey or innocent. I told my closest friend about what had happened as I didn’t know how to tell my parents. She pleaded with me to tell them so I eventually plucked up the courage and told my mum. We informed the police but they didn’t take it any further. crazy I know. he went on to take advantage of a few more girls sadly younger than me and was then forced to sign the sex offenders register. a few months after seeking help I found out that as a result of this I had become pregnant, although I was young I wanted to keep this baby as it wasnt the babies fault this had happened.
In June 2014, I gave birth to a beautiful girl named Shaniah. She put the life back into me and gave me a reason to carry on. Every day im greatful for all the precious moments she gives me. every single day she will do something new and fill me with joy.
In may 2015 I met Ryan we had mutual friends, we started talking and he eventually asked me on a date, i’d never been on a date and if im perfectly honest the thought of bringing my walls down and opening up to another guy scared me but I went ahead and now nearly 2 years on we are very much happy and haven’t looked back since. Shaniah also thinks extremely highly of him and the feeling is mutual there.
Why the epileptic blogger name?
Well I’ve been diagnosed with epilepsy for 8 years now and everyone I meet seems scared and doesn’t really like talking about it. It’s not scary and us epileptics are not going to hurt you… Well I’m not anyway. So yeah the name is purely there to show you that being epileptic doesn’t change who I am.
So there you have it, this is my crazy little family and i wouldn’t have it any other way.
Hope you enjoy!
