The 5 Best Family Attractions In Great Yarmouth.

Great Yarmouth holds a very special place in my heart, being a picturesque seaside town on the Norfolk coast, it played host to many of our family getaways growing up. It’s a place that simply doesn’t grow old, in fact, it’s a place that I am so desperate to take my children one day.

whilst it is known as a seaside town, Great Yarmouth is not restricted to the typical seaside attractions of which you may be used to elsewhere, Oh no, that’s why I’ve put together this article about the 5 vest family attractions in Great Yarmouth.

1. SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth

Cost: £71.80 for a family of four (under 3’s go free).

SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth has a wide range of fascinating sea animals to experience, from Penguins to Spider Crabs. They really do have it all. There is also a soft play and a cafe for us adults too!

2. Jurassic Journey

Cost: £36.00 for a family of four.

This attraction is right up my daughters street. From fossils to animatronic dinosaurs. To real life Dino poo. This place really is fun for all the family.

3. Joyland

Cost: FREE to enter, simply purchase tickets to use on the rides.

This is more than just a theme park, it’s home to the world famous snails, and the unique Tyrolean Tubs.

Alongside the plethora of rides, you can also enjoy a feast at their very own American diner.

4. Yarmouth Hippodrome

Cost: £52.00 for a family of four.

Yarmouth Hippodrome is famous for being Britain’s sole surviving complete circus building, built in 1903! They hold a variety of family oriented shows and musicals throughout the year, but with the festive season fast approaching, it’s worth noting they do a superb Christmas Spectacular running annually from December through to January.

5. Merrivale model Village

Cost: £28.96 for a family of four – under 3s are free.

There is just something loveable about a model village, regardless of age. There is loads of hidden gems within the many village characters. Merrivale model village has recently added a 9-hole traditional crazy golf which is included within the admission price. It doesn’t get much better than that!
